Forever21 Purchases

Hi everyone!

I've been trying to buy less but buy better, but sometimes I crack! I'm trying to save up for more quality pieces so I have been avoiding stores like Forever21 and H&M. I haven't been on Forever21's website in ages, but when I went on it the other day I couldn't resist making a purchase. The package came today so I thought I'd review the things I got for you.

I've been wanting a scalloped lace skirt since last fall, and I almost bought one from Forever21 then but they were out of my size. When I saw a similar skirt came back, I had to buy it. I knew I would regret not buying it. Outside of school, I also work part-time as an assistant in an office, so skirts are always great to have.

The other things I got were just things I liked. Forever21 has a minimum requirement of $60 for free shipping so the other items were more of 'fillers' for the free shipping, although I do like what I got. Whenever I buy from them, I take quite a bit of time to get just the right combination of items to get as little over $60 as possible haha.

Scalloped Crochet Lace Skirt
CAD $29.80

The skirt is very pretty in person. It's Love21 so be careful with sizing, it runs larger than regular F21 (they say half a size, I think it's more of a full size). The colour is kind of disappointing. It's more ivory in the picture (which is what I wanted). In real life, the slip inside is a dark nude so it makes the whole appearance of the skirt darker. But overall I'm pleased with it.

Pintucked Peter Pan Collar Top
CAD $21.80

I decided to finally buy something with a peter pan collar. This blouse looked very pretty and I love the colours. It's cute in person, but beware it's very loose at the bottom. It's fine tucked into something, but I wish it wasn't as loose. Wasn't too pleased about this shirt.

Zipper Pocket Tee
Was:CAD $17.90
Now:CAD $7.99

I was browsing the mens' section and I saw this t-shirt on sale. It has very thin stripes and a zipper pocket! I love the small zipper detail. I bought it for my boyfriend to get him to try something different but not too flashy.

Heart Compact Mirror
CAD $1.00
Last and least, I got this compact mirror. Because I was less than a dollar away from free shipping, and because I don't own a compact mirror.

Have a great day!

First one!

Hello blogging-world! :)

For my first post I would just like to introduce myself and what the blog will be about. My name is Issie and I'm a 21-year-old university student in the Toronto area. I've wanted to blog my clothes/outfits for a while but never got around to it. This blog will document my clothes but also my life.

Regarding the title of my blog: "Simple Made Issie"..."Simple Made Easy"...get it? no? haha?
I'm a simple gal..I don't wear makeup or do my hair. I love simple clothes that are easy to wear. Often I'll see outfits on blogs that are either waaaaayyy too expensive for my budget or ones that photograph so well but I could never wear for everyday around campus and to work. As a (broke) student, I think clothes need to be functional and versatile. Simple or not, I think it's important to feel good in what you're wearing. I know I feel more confident when I'm wearing something I love.

So..that's it :) I'm no expert on fashion, I'm just trying to document a little bit about my life and what I wear...and if I can help someone in the process, that would be awesome.

Have a great day!
